Premonition Designs is an Australian parent company that                                               includes four separate fashion labels, each targeting different                                         types of consumers. During my time at Prem, I worked with                                             the head designer and focused on two main labels: Seven                                             Wonders and she.is.us.

                                       Seven Wonders focuses on vintage and boho inspired casual                                         apparel, releasing "drops" or small design stories each week.                                         Working on this label, I did a lot of target market research                                             and researching of other companies that had a similar look. I was able to page through books for sample fabrics and past designs for the label to gain inspiration. From there, I created a general mood board and pages of designs for the label. My supervisor and I would go over all of our designs together and separate them into drops and create a general timeline. I worked on spec sheets for the designs, identifying construction details, fabric type, trims and findings, and other important information for our production facilities. When we received our samples, I was able to assist in fittings and adjusting the spec packs. I also helped to style and model the Seven Wonders designs for the social media platforms and the website.

The other label I worked with at Prem, she.is.us, had a very different aesthetic. This label was trendier, edgier, and meant for a very fashion-forward consumer. This label was not yet launched when I began interning, and part of my job was to establish an ideal consumer profile. I put together mood boards for inspiration and to create a direction for the label. From there I started designing, putting drops together, and filling spec packs, in addition to attending fittings for each garment.
