THE MARCH CONTINUES
This project was inspired by the positive social change of the 2016 Women's March, and on a larger scale, the overall evolution of feminism. Before starting this project I did research on the the waves of feminism and the the impact each wave has had. This suit was aimed to be representative of modern day feminism and how there is no right or wrong way to be a woman. The bodice and cuffs are hand painted as protest signs, and the back of my jacket and hem of the skirt are laser cut with the name of the piece.

The suiting fabric is a polyester double cloth lined with Chinese silk, and the bodice is cotton shirting fabric.
